REAGAN'S POV.

"I hereby sentence you to death by hanging." I firmly proclaim.

"No!" Alina screams in horror, slidding from her chair to the floor. Her parents rush forward with terrified looks on their faces and the crowd has began to murmur again and what givesjoy is the fact that every one seems to agree with my judgement. "Alpha Reagan." Alina calls in tears as she looks up atfrom the floor. "Please..." She attempts to crawl towardsand hold my heels but I take several steps away from her to maintain the distance between us. I don't want her touching me. "You can't do this." "Can't I?" "That punishment is too cruel and I still stand on my word that I did not commit those crimes. I have no idea who these people are. Please Alpha Reagan, you have to believe me!" "This is an unfair sentence!" Her father scolds at the top of his voice and I'm not even surprised. I shoot him an amused look. He's looking at the crowd and then at the Alphas and elders as if asking them to cto his aid. "Death by hanging is too gruesa punishment for my daughter. A jury is supposed to deliberate on the issue and cup with a sentence, not you!" He says bitterly, pointing his index finge atas his eyes turn blood red.

His audacity never fails to amuse me.

Even after it's been proven with audios and videos that his daughter is guilty of murdering three people, he still has the guts to demand a merciful sentence while raising his voice atlike I was his child. It's going to be so much fun to watch him witness the death of his daughter.

"Mr. Williams, haven't you been listening to everything that has been said here? Your daughter killed three people!" "No, she did not!" "Father, please stop this madness already." Kyle scolds as he approaches us. "You've listened to the confessions and the audios, you've watched the videos with your own eyes. Alina's crimes have been exposed, stop trying to cause a scene!" He reprimands and his father does the unthinkable. He strides over to Kyle and when he's close, he drives his right fist into Kyle's jaw, giving him a heavy blow that makes his head sway in the opposite direction. Pin-dropping silence takes over the hall as we all watch the father and son engage in a bone-chilling, eyeball to eyeball fight. Kyle looks chill and completely unaffected by his father's sudden outburst. His father on the other hand is breathing so hard, one would think he's about to burst.

"How dare you!" He wheezes. "How dare you connive with these people to end your sister's life? Don't you have any shame?" He asks almost breathlessly. Kyle simply shakes his head and turns to the guards standing nearby.

"Take her away and have her locked up in the high security dungeon cell." "Yes, Delta." The guards agree with a bow and step forward.

"I'll go with them and make sure nothing goes wrong." Ronald adds and both Kyle and I nod in agreement. Mrs. Williams, who's wailing on the ground, holds her daughter tight in her arms as the men step forward to seize her.

"No! I'm not going to let you take her. She's my only daughter. You can't do this to her!" She's screaming just like her husband and her words raise the bile from my stomach up into my mouth. I can actually taste its bitterness on the linens of my mouth as I stare down at her with blood red eyes.

They are the reasons why Alina turned out to be this way. They never cautioned her. They made her understand she could get anything she wanted at any cost and now, they are about to face the consequences of their bad parenting towards Alina.

"Mother please..." Says Kyle as he holds his mother by her arms and tries to separate her from Alina. "Stop all this . The deed has been done!" "Please don't let them take her!" His mother cubes his face in her hands, forcing him to stare at her tears- drenched face. "She's your only sister. She might have commiting all those terrible crimes, but you can' let them kill her. You should advocate for her to be given a lesser punishment. She doesn't deserve this!"

"What about the innocent people she killed, mother? Did they deserve what she did to them?" Kyle asks coldly his voice devoid of any emotion. His mother simply shakes her head and starts hitting his chest. "She's royalty! She's just a little girl who made sstupid mistakes. She deserves a second chance. Talk to the Alpha.

Beg him to spare your sister." "Mum, I'm afraid that's not how things work. Alina has committed a lot of terrible crimes, she has to be punished and she will!"

"Get the hell away from my wife!" Mr.

William pushes Kyle away from his tto wife and helps her get to her feetn The guards are dragging a screaming Alina out of the hall while her father turns to look at Kyle and me. "This isn't how it ends. I will never let you kill my daughter. That's only going to happen over my dead body!" Bloody saliva!

His disgusting saliva splatters all over my face and I guess droplets touched Kyle as well because of how he twists his face and turns his neck to the other direction. "Just you watch and see!" The old man storms out of the hall and I wait a few minutes before looking back at the crowd.
