A haze of red rose up in the distance. Leon's gaze focused on it and he felt an instinctual hatred emanating from the haze of red. It was almost as if that haze of red was out for his life.

"Hmm, that's strange." Dion muttered behind Leon.

"What is?" Leon asked.

"It seems as if there is a strong malevolence rising from the Phantom Centipedes today. And they usually don't show themselves until they are close enough." He said, rubbing his chin.

"Let me check it out." Leon said and took off in the direction of the rising red haze. As he got closer, he was able to make out the haze more. It turned out that the haze was simply as mass made up of hundreds of Phantom Millipedes!

"This..." Leon paused and levitated in the air up above the phantoms. They spawned endlessly from the ground below in a freakish display. Leon's aura sharped and he lobbed a ball of concentrated fire down at the centipedes. The ball of fire instantly exploded as soon as it came close to one of the centipedes, covering the area in a blazing fire.

...

The unsettling feeling that Leon had concerning the strange millipedes grew as he watched the notifications roll in. His intuition was telling him that something was wrong, and he felt compelled to believe it.

"I need to get rid of them in one fell swoop." Leon decided and held up a hand. The space around his band began to clench and compress on itself, signaling the beginning of Leon's new and most powerful spell, the Gravity Bomb.

When the mana he had gathered was so heavy that he could barely even control it, he finally let it go, allowing the incredible mass of gravity mana to drop to the ground.

Boom!

At first, the surrounding area collapsed when the gravity bomb struck the center of the mass of phantoms. Dozens of them were killed just by the unreleased bomb.

Hooowllll!

The sound of space itself being violently shredded was something that could make any soul tremble in fear. The phantoms paused for a moment, before they regained their ferocity. However, the pull of gravity soon latched its merciless hooks onto them, tearing them apart and dragging their pieces into the expanding orb of blackness that resembled an abyss.

Leon watched all of this impassively. He was still absorbed in his thoughts, and could not waste time on watching the millipedes die.

'I have only run into one millipede monster race through his new life, and it was in the Desolate Lands too... What are the chances?' He thought to himself.

He recalled the moment when he killed the Ghost Millipede Queen that had overthrown Nedra and tried to kill them. He had not been able to raise her to join his army because something strange had happened. He had never thought back to that moment before this time. Now, though...

'Now that I know a lot more, and I am a lot more in touch with death and my necromancy abilities, I understand a lot more. Did she not truly die back then?' Leon asked himself.

He remembered how the body of the millipede queen had turned into ashes and dust back then, and he had not been able to turn her into a summon. Now that he looked back on the matter, if he was as knowledgeable as he was now back then, he would have known that she did not truly die.

"That sly insect!" Leon clenched his fist and even the gravity bomb seemed to grow denser. Black lightning crackled around the gravity bomb as it grew larger and larger until every single Phantom Millipede was dead.

"It's only been a few months, yet she's been able to amass such a large army. Plus, they are special in that normal means cannot harm them." Leon murmured to himself as he cancelled the spell. A massive crater was left in the wake of his attack, but there was no sign of any more Phantom Millipedes. He turned around and took off in the direction of the battle with the Demonic Beasts. He had only been gone for a couple of minutes, so the battle was still going on, albeit it was a total beatdown for the Demonic Beasts.

Kaladin waved his arm and a curtain of lightning spread over an area of the battlefield. Everything within that curtain was enveloped in a thunderous barrage of lightning that made peoples' eyes hurt just from looking.

The curtain of lightning vanished, leaving completely charred corpses were left of the Demonic Beasts. Even those that had not died from the attack were so severely injured that they would most likely succumb to their wounds in the next few seconds.

Thick bolts of lightning erupted from Kaladin's fingertips. Wherever those bolts struck, a crater was left with black ash, as the creature that had been struck was instantly turned into ashes.

Kaladin was not the only eye catching sight on the battlefield. An unstoppable red light crashed through dense lines of Demonic Beasts, tearing through anything that dared get in its way.

Nero condensed his Domain until the space around him was a bright red color. The red within and without seeped together to create an extremely sharp and powerful aura. Just standing in his line of sight was enough for a Demonic Beast to be sliced in half! Not to mention getting close to him. In fact, whenever he swung his sword, the only way he could kill an enemy was to create an energy sword projection to slice through distant foes.

"Such disgustingly powerful summons!" Dorian muttered. By now, all of the major people that made up the alliance had gathered in the sky above the new Wall.

"Indeed, it is hard to believe that these are only just newly advanced A ranks." Gael nodded beside his brother.
