"I just can't keep my mouth shut." Georgia had finally found a topic that would equally torment both Hertha and Alaric. How could she possibly let this moment slip away? "You were all overback then, I couldn't even push you away. You whispered my name, Georgia, in bed, promisingthe world," Georgia spun her tale right there, aiming to infuriate Hertha. Before she could finish, Alaric had grabbed her arm and dragged her outside.

Once outside, Alaric released her arm as if touching her any longer would somehow taint him.

Alaric glared at Georgia, his warning clear and sharp, "Georgia, I'm warning you, stop spreading lies or you'll regret it!" Georgia looked up to see his eyes, blazing red with anger, and beneath that, a hint of anxiety.

Where was that anxiety coming from? Was he nervous about losing Hertha? Reading the message in Alaric's eyes was like a stab to Georgia's heart.

For years, she had been trailing behind Alaric, hoping for just a glance from him.

Alaric's response was cold, "Oh, Georgia, now you remember you're human, with flesh and blood? When you were humiliatingin front of the shareholders, acting all high and mighty, did you forget I was human too, a man with pride? Didn't you think about how I felt?" Georgia's tears fell even harder, "I'm sorry, I apologize for my past mistakes. Alaric, can you forgive me?" She reached for Alaric's arm, pleading for his forgiveness.

Now that Alaric had exposed her last deception, she had no cards left to play.

If she continued with her arrogance, she would truly lose Alaric.

Despite his lack of patience for her she couldn't help loving him. Everything she had ever wanted, her parents had secured for her without delay.
