Chapter 72 “You're as disgusting as your mother. Both of you makesick!” Sherah sneered at Celena with contempt.

Qemal could not hide his triumphant grin as he taunted Celena, “What does it matter if you're talented, Celena, or if Grandpa likes you best? Dad's only pleased withand my sister. You’re nothing!”

His words hit Celena like thunder, sending a shiver down her spine.

“Why doesn’t anyone want me?” Celena sobbed, collapsing to the ground. “Grandpa, Dad... you've all abandoned me...” Her cries echoed through the room, and her body shook uncontrollably.

Jovie, hearing her mother’s sobs, wriggled free from Liam’s embrace and felt her way toward Celena. “Don’t cry, Mom! They're the bad ones, not us. You’ve got me, Mom!” she cried.

Tears ‘streamed down Jovie’s cheeks as she tenderly wiped away her mother’s tears and patted her back in an attempt to comfort her.

Overwhelmed by her daughter’s empathy, Celena pulled Jovie into a tight embrace, as they cried together. Liam watched on, his heart wrenching as if gripped by an unseen force. “So, if | apologize, will you forgive Celena?” Liam asked, locking eyes with them.

Yafe, who had just started walking away, stopped dead in his tracks, spun around, and gave Liam a frosty stare. “Yes! What's it to you? Are you ready to swallow your pride?”

Without a moment's hesitation, Liam turned to Qemal with an icy look and said firmly, “I’m sorry.” 1/2 If the people back in the war zone had seen that, their jaws would hit the floor!

The commander-in-chief of the Imperial Dragon, the top dog of the mighty Cole clan, was apologizing to ssmall-tnoble’s son, all for the sake of a woman!

Had Calum and his crew been there, Qemal would not stand a chance. Who would dare make their revered commander-in-chief bow? They would pay with their lives!

him than Celena and Jovie.

Tears.streamed down her face, more from guilt than anything else.

Liam moved closer, pulling Celena and Jovie into a warm embrace. He comforted her, saying, “No more tears and no more apologies. You never have to apologize to me. For you and Jovie, I'd give up the world, let alone offer a simple apology. So please, no more crying...”

‘Besides, you’ve done so much more for me. I'd do anything for you, not just apologize,’ Liam thought to himself.

However, while Liam was ready to make amends, Qemal was not having any of it. With his arms crossed, he looked down at Liam with disdain and sneered, “You think a simple ‘I’m sorry’ cuts it? | want you to chop off your own arm to show you mean it!”

Liam’s earlier apology had only emboldened Qemal. Now oozing confidence, he glared at Liam with a challenging look that seemed to say, ‘So what if you’re tough? You still gotta grovel to me!’
