Chapter 235 Confession of the Intruder

Isabella and Braxton were only engaged. Thus, after the engagement banquet ended at 5 p.m., Braxton personally

sent Isabella back to the Parker Residence.

Noah was worried about the company in Vroria, so he left at night..

Sarah and Ashley stayed at the Kaufmann Residence and planned to leave after staying for a few days.

At nighttime, Freya finished dinner and returned to her room. Then, she had a video call with Isabella for

a while.

After ending the call, Freya switched her phone systems and opened another Instagram account.

She first glanced at the Green Flamation forum, which was quiet. The chat was still left from the afternoon.

Then, she went to the research lab chat group named ‘Striving for Humanity’s Reproduction!”

There were seven people in the chat group, including four researchers, which were Fabian, Russell, Lucius, and

Maddox.

The other two people were Michael and Eugene from the Octo Adelphos.

The last person was Harlan, which was her second identity.

These six people lived in the same house every day, but they didn’t chat much in the group. They only shared their

research progress.

Freya looked at the research progress for a while. There were still a few tricky problems raised by the researchers

in the group.

She only answered the ones she knew. As for the other complex problems, she still needed some time to solve

them.

She chatted with the researchers in the group until late at night, using the name of Professor Harlan.

The four researchers were thrilled.

After some time, Freya closed Instagram and switched back to the system.

Looking at the time, she noticed that it was already 10 p.m. She didn’t realize she had been chatting for so long,

and she still had to go to West Geft tomorrow.

Freya put her phone on silent mode and placed it on the bedside table. Then, she turned off the lights and prepared

to sleep.

As the moonlight shone through the window, a cool breeze entered from the curtains.

At that moment, Freya slowly opened her eyes. Without moving her body, her gaze gradually shifted toward the

window.

Before going to bed, she had closed the window. However, it was now open!

Freya pursed her lips and thought. There is an intruder!

At the same time, she was puzzled. After all, if those intruders were planning on making a move, the best

opportunity would have been when the guests were gathered today. Thus, she couldn’t understand why they were

here at a time like this, especially when she was still in the room.

Thinking about it, Freya quietly reached under the bed and touched the hidden button by the headboard.

She had prepared the button in case someone invaded her room.

The curtains in front of the window lightly rolled up. Under the moonlight, she saw a figure in her room.

At that moment, Freya had already opened the hidden compartment and touched the weapon.

“You’re awake.” A deep and raspy voice sounded.

Freya was startled, and she subconsciously released the gun, causing it to fall back into the hidden compartment,

making a thud sound.

Her eyes widened as the person’s face became clearer under the moonlight.

Freya frowned and exclaimed, “It’s you? I thought you were in Iternia.”

Radley had a faint smile, but his eyes were dark.

He stared at Freya and said, “I called you, but you didn’t answer. That is why I came in without permission. Sorry

about that.”

Freya pursed her lips and felt annoyed.

After all, what was the use of apologizing when he had already barged into her room?

However, she was more curious about something else. “Didn’t you say you would be back in a week? Why are you

back today? Is the contract done?”

Radley shook his head and replied, “It’s not done yet.”

His gaze was fixed on her as he spoke.

Freya was confused. “If the contract hasn’t been signed yet, why are you back? Did something come up at the

Monaghan Group?”

Since Radley was here, she couldn’t continue lying in bed.

Hence, she left the bed and walked to the corner. After all, Radley was a guest, so she should at least offer him a

glass of water.

After pouring the water, Freya turned around but was suddenly embraced by him.

With one hand holding the glass of water, Freya raised her other hand helplessly. “Let go of me, Radley.”

Radley was breathing heavily against her car, seemingly suppressing something inside of him.

A deep voice sounded in Freya’s ear.

“I miss you.”

In that split second, Freya’s heart skipped a beat. She tried to push him away.

“Let go of me first.”

Radley returned to his senses and realized that he had acted impulsively. Thus, he released her from his grip.

Still, his gaze was fixated on her. Initially, he planned to confess his love to her, as well as propose after coming

back.

However, when he saw the video Mikael sent him, he couldn’t suppress his longing for Freya anymore. Also, he felt

the urge to beat Matthew to death!

As the feeling of longing and anger intertwined, he booked a flight back without hesitation..

In the room, the two of them silently locked eyes..

Freya looked away first, and her heart filled with mixed emotions. Eventually, it turned into a heartwarming feeling.

Did he come back from Iternia just to say he misses me? she thought.

Radley took the glass from Freya’s hand.

“Your brother got engaged today. Are you exhausted from the event?”

“No, I mostly just watched.” Then, Freya fell silent.

At such a time like this, Radley had climbed over the wall and entered her room.

Initially, she should have been angry but didn’t know what to say. Moreover, she felt nervous.

“Today, Matthew…”

“When are you going back?”

They both spoke at the same time.

Radley’s face turned gloomy. “I came here directly from the airport. Don’t you even miss me the slightest?”

He hadn’t even finished his glass of water, yet he felt she was already shooing him away.

Freya pursed her lips and hesitated momentarily before saying, “My family is here now. If they see you in my room

now, they will misunderstand the situation.”

Radley slowly closed in on her. His tall figure emitted an intimidating aura, making her feel intimidated.

“Misunderstand what?”

Freya was anxious. “Aren’t you asking a question you already know the answer to? They will think we still have

feelings for each other and will get back together.”

As Radley thought about it, his eyes were filled with adoration.

“Itold you to wait for my return, but I can’t wait any longer now.”

“I want to start over again with you, Frey,” Radley said in a low voice.

As the moonlight shone into the room, Freya could feel her heart thumping wildly.

She stared at him momentarily before saying, “We have been together before. Although I don’t quite remember it,

I knew you had never loved me for the past two years.”

It was clear that she had failed.

Hearing her words, Radley stared at her intently and said, “I had never tried to understand but I hope you can give

me another chance. A chance for us to start over again.”

He wanted to make up for his mistakes.

Freya hesitated as she thought about the time she had spent with him.
