Bang! Bang! Bang!

Hiro banged loudly on the door to Jacob’s house. It was so loud that it seemed to vibrate from his place. Since leaving the secret dungeon, Liberty hadn’t woken up yet. He had waited for her to wake up, but after a while, the girl didn’t show a sign of waking up.

Finally, Hiro decided to take her to Jacob’s house because there was no other place for him to stay in the game for now.

“Hiro?! What are you—holy shit! What happened to her?!”

Jacob appeared with a sleepy face. It seemed the man had just woken up. He wore no clothes and only put on a short boxer.

Hiro brought Liberty into Jacob’s house and walked towards the room he had last occupied to lay the girl in his arms to the bed.

“What did you do to her, Bro?”

“Nothing. She just came back from being petrified.”

“Petrified?”

Hiro ignored Jacob, who kept on asking questions, and he checked Liberty’s condition once more. Her body temperature was normal, and her body was not wet either. Even so, the girl hadn’t opened her eyes as if she had fallen unconscious.

“How many times do I have to watch your girlfriend pass out?” Jacob looked panicked, and he was a little suspicious of what Hiro had done.

“I’ll call the doctor.”

“No, don’t.” Hiro immediately stopped Jacob, who was about to contact a doctor NPC via the HUD system inside his head.

“I’ll call her brother.”

“What?!”

Hiro knew what he had to do under these conditions. After seeing Liberty’s real body in the real world, and accidentally meeting Ace in human form in the real world, Hiro knew that for now… he’d better contact Liberty’s brother because the man knew something Hiro didn’t know.

However, Hiro wasn’t sure if Ace would see the message he sent via world chat.

[You: @Ace, call me.]

Hiro sat next to Liberty’s legs, who were lying limply. He was staring at the world chat column with nervousness while Jacob, who was curious, also looked at the world chat with him.

[FavBitch: OMG! My cutie @NightFall, you’re still here!]

[Lost_Queen: NightFall?!]

[PinkBell: I thought that he’s quitting the game T_T]

“You’re so popular, Hiro.” Jacob looked surprised to see the world chat suddenly packed with other players who wanted to greet his friend.

Hiro ignored them. He didn’t care about the others. He just hoped that Ace would get the notification.

Ding!

[You have received a new friend request]

[Ace (Online)]

“Got him.”

Hiro accepted the friend’s request so he could connect with the person he had been waiting for. Without waiting, Hiro contacted Ace via a direct call.

Hiro informed Ace the reason he contacted the man. He told the man that Liberty was with him in an unconscious state and asked Ace to come and check on his sister’s condition right away.

Hearing what Hiro said, Ace really didn’t look the least bit suspicious. Instead, he said that he would soon come to the coordinates point where Hiro was taking care of his younger sister as if he simply believed that NightFall was with his sister at the moment.

Ace’s reaction really made Hiro suspicious.

‘Does he know about my relationship with Libe?’

Ding!

[You have received a new message]

[Ace: I’m at the front.]

Hiro and Jacob rushed out towards the main door of the house to welcome an invited guest who came in split seconds. They weren’t surprised because, after all, Ace was an elite player who certainly had enough money to just buy a portkey crystal.

Ace came in casual clothes. He hid a set of armor with a costume from a famous brand, Louis Vuitton. Absolutely no concept of clothing for the Medieval era.

Hiro felt a little awkward when he had to deal with Liberty’s brother. Even so, Ace didn’t seem interested in asking him another question that wasn’t related to Liberty.

“Where is my sister?”

They went back into the room to see Liberty’s still motionless body.

Ace strode to the girl and examined her body as if he were a real-life doctor.

Wait— is he?

Wasn’t the Johnson family hereditary as a doctor?

Hiro was standing at the door with Jacob, who had given him suspicious signals several times. However, Hiro ignored it. Unlike Jacob, who was full of suspicion for Ace, Hiro really trusted him for things related to Liberty.

“What happened?” Ace turned to ask Hiro.

His face didn’t look the least bit worried, and Hiro took that as something positive. It meant Liberty must be fine. Even though he didn’t know the reason Liberty hadn’t woken up yet, Hiro only believed in the reaction of the older brother who truly cared about his younger sister.

Hiro told Ace the details of the incident that he had experienced a few hours ago. Starting from how Liberty suddenly appeared and dragged him into a dungeon portal. When he found Liberty, the girl was already petrified by a monster. Last, he told Ace that he prayed to a goddess to turn her back to normal.

Hiro didn’t miss anything except the information that he had made out with the monster that copied Liberty’s appearance while in the dungeon. Of course, he didn’t want to share that embarrassing story.

“I see. Looks like the avatar has a minor bug due to petrification.” Ace really wasn’t interested in extracting more information than that. He didn’t even seem to care, although Hiro told him that Liberty probably knew something about the person who was after him..

“I’ll bring her home,” he added.

“What?!” Jacob was overreacting. However, Hiro looked calm.

“You better make her back to normal.”

Ace tilted his head when he heard Hiro’s words.

“Sorry? Who do you think you are, NightFall? She’s my only sister. I know what’s best for her.”

“Honestly, it’s you who made her suffer.”

Ace took out a portkey crystal from his pants pocket. His sharp gaze pierced Hiro’s chest. Yet, Hiro gave no response.

However, deep down, Hiro agreed. Ace was right. If only Liberty never entered that dungeon… she would definitely be fine now.

“Please, take care of her.”

Hiro bowed his head after getting an indirect insult from Liberty’s brother. To convince Ace that he really hoped for Ace to take care of Liberty, he even brushed aside all his ego for the girl.

And his action managed to make Ace surprised.

During his departure while carrying Liberty’s in his arms, a faint smile spread across Ace’s face.
