With his expression forced to be fierce again, Louis looked at the camera. “That’s all from

us. Thank you for listening. We hope there are no more misunderstandings after this.

Just as the video ended, the twins glanced at Frank. “That won’t cause any problems,

right, Daddy? Our scolding isn’t too loud.”

While Frank rubbed the bridge of his nose, Kara let out an amused sigh. “You said you

were scolding?”

“We raise our tone. We also put on a fierce look and put our hands on our hips. Isn’t that

scolding?” Emily shook her head slowly.

Snorting a laugh, Frank rubbed the twins’ heads. “Good job, Kids. I’m sure many people

were touched by your scolding.”

“Is it true?” The two toddlers’ eyes lit up. A second later, their hands shot up into the air.

“Woohoo! If people were touched, they won’t attack us anymore.

“Daddy and Auntie don’t need to worry anymore! We can all return to living in peace.”

After high-fiving, Emily jumped up and down in position.

“Daddy, Mommy, how about we check Auntie’s account now? If there are fewer malicious

Kara pulled a chair next to Frank. “That’s a good idea. Let’s monitor it for 15 minutes. After

that, you guys should get ready for bed.”

After a few moments, Philip let out a faint breath. “If I knew it would be like this, I should

have cleaned the apartment every few days.”

Along the journey, Philip tried to ease his worries. However, his effort was in vain. When

he arrived at the door, his nervousness peaked. He was afraid that Barbara would refuse

to stay because the place was

not suitable.

“Philip?”

The man gasped. “Yes?”

“I haven’t had time to say it yet. Thank you for allowing me stay in your apartment,”

Barbara said sincerely, even though she was stiff and shy.

However, that appreciation sounded like sarcasm in Philip’s ears. Forcing a smile, he

swallowed hard. “It’s nothing big, Barbara. I’m just giving you a simple place to stay.”

Then, with an awkward movement, Philip opened the door. The light automatically turned

on. Seeing the contents of his apartment, he was stunned.

“Did the Harpers prepare all this?” he thought, amazed. The apartment was like a five-star

hotel.

Without waiting for an invitation, Barbara stepped inside. Looking at the furniture in front

of her, her eyebrows moved down. “You must have worked very hard to prepare all this.

Philip blinked. His mouth opened wider.

“I told you, it’s nothing,” he tried to break the stiffness. “I’m actually glad you can

Philip’s words faltered. His hands were raised, hesitant to present the miracle in front of

his.

Barbara smiled wryly. After looking around again, she whispered, ” Then, which room can I

occupy? My head feels heavy. I think I should sleep quickly.”

Philip immediately walked towards a door. “This way.”

When he opened it, he almost gasped. The room was too girly, especially with a large

dressing table, a wardrobe equipped with a full body mirror, and an ivory bedcover

decorated with flowers.

“Is this a guest room?” Barbara asked as she walked in through the gap between Philip

and the door.

Philip blinked. He was unsure whether he should explain the new items or not. However,

remembering that Barbara’s purpose in leaving was to isolate herself, he cleared her

throat, “Yes.”

Barbara nodded. After grabbing the suitcase from Philip’s hand, she forcefully pulled up

the corners of her lips. “Thanks, Philip. Let’s talk when I feel better.”.

Philip’s doubts suddenly vanished. He just remembered that Barbara was no longer a girl

who prioritized luxury. All she needed now attention and protection.

“Get some rest. You’re too tired. If you need anything, I’ll be in the next

Philip looked back, pointing at a door. When he returned to face the front, his eyes

instantly widened. Barbara was standing on tiptoe, kissing his lips.

“Good night, Philip.”

The man was taken aback for a moment. When he regained

consciousness, his feet moved backwards. “Good evening, Barbara,” he replied stiffly.

Blushing, Barbara closed the door. Only then was Philip able to catch

his breath.

“Barbara kissed me first?”

Slowly, his smile formed perfectly. “I’m so lucky.”

While letting more flowers grow in his heart, Philip walked to his room. However, when he

opened the door, his joy was shattered by

“Jeremy? What are you doing here?” he asked, whispering.

Jeremy quickly raised his index finger to his lips. After pulling Philip in, he closed the door.

It turned out that there, several people were

waiting.

“You guys arranged my apartment?”

“Who else if not us?” Jeremy smiled faintly. “Frank sent me here. He

said you could claim that all the property here was yours.”

Philip’s eyes narrowed. “I don’t like lying.”

“That’s not a lie. Frank gave all this to you. He said, as a bonus for taking care of his little

sister. Turns out, you hold four positions now, hmm?”

Philip snorted faintly. “Stop teasing me. Now get out of here. It’s not that I’m pushing you

away. I’m very grateful for what you did. But, things could get complicated if the girl in the

next room finds out she’s not really alone here.”

“She’s not alone. She’s with you. You kicked us out so you two could be together, hmm?”

Philip grimaced in annoyance. “I said don’t tease me.”

Jeremy laughed with satisfaction. After signaling his men to come out, he patted Philip’s

arm. “Then have fun.”

Philip no longer wanted to respond. He walked Jeremy to the front door then threw himself

on the couch. While staring at the ceiling, he counted how much he had received from the

Harper family.

“Frank Harper keeps giving me bonuses since I rescued him from the sea. Does he still feel

like he owes me a favor?”

After a brief moment of contemplation, Philip turned his gaze to Barbara’s bedroom door.

Slowly, his smile returned.

“Maybe this is a signal for me to take good care of her. I’m very lucky.”

However, remembering his failed proposal, the curve of his lips froze. Folding his hands

under his head, Philip racked his brain again. “So, when can I propose to her and how?”
