Chapter 578 Hard As Steel

One who conceals their power will eventually reveal it.

He was prepared to take action when the situation called for it.

Boom!

Emrys took a step forward, showing no signs of energy fluctuation. However, this seemingly ordinary

step was like a massive hammer, fiercely striking down on Vaughn.

Vaughn’s brow suddenly twitched, and his heart trembled.

Astonishment flashed in his eyes.

He felt as though the young man before him had undergone a complete transformation. He was no

longer the arrogant and presumptuous temperer grandmaster he once knew. Instead, he had become a

king, indifferent to everything. He seemed unrivaled.

What was happening?

Why did such a misconception arise?

Impossible!

Vaughn desperately shook his head. He hadn’t even made a move yet, but he already felt a trace of

fear towards the young man in front of him.

It was strange.

At that moment, Emrys took another deliberate step forward, his expression indifferent. He casually

said, “Vaughn, didn’t you say you wanted to cripple my hands and feet? Here I am, Emrys, standing

right in front of you. Why haven’t you made your move yet?”

As he spoke, he took another step forward.

His tone remained calm as ever.

However, something strange happened.

When Emrys took a step forward, Vaughn, a respected figure and the newly appointed chancellor of

Jipsdale Martial Arts Academy, surprisingly took an unconscious step back.

This was a complete overpowering in terms of aura.

Although there was not the slightest fluctuation of aura on Emrys.

But it is precisely this extreme simplicity of being ordinary, coupled with Emrys‘ current indifference and

self–assurance, that creates a strong contrast. This, in turn, makes Vaughn, who was right in front, feel

an immensely powerful pressure.

Though it appeared to lack an imposing aura, in reality, it was overwhelmingly powerful.

Bang!

Vaughn’s heart trembled with fear as he took another step back.

Vaughn took two steps back in succession, leaving everyone around him, who were watching the

spectacle, bewildered.

What was happening?

Could it be that a revered master was actually scared off by a Temperer grandmaster?

Impossible!

It was simply not possible!

Gilbert’s face darkened. He barked angrily, “Vaughn, what the h*ll are you playing at?”

He did not confront Emrys directly, so he couldn’t empathize with Vaughn’s feelings. Seeing Vaughn

retreat without a fight, he thought that Vaughn must be out of his mind.

Hence, he yelled out in anger.

He showed absolutely no respect for the chancellor of Jipsdale Martial Arts Academy.

Who could blame Gilbert for his arrogance? After all, his father had just been appointed as the new

Guardian.

Vaughn felt humiliated. With a hardened look in his eyes, he said, “Mr. Lund, I’m sorry!”

He firmly told himself that everything that had just happened was an illusion, that he was merely

frightening himself. So, gritting his teeth, he forcefully lunged at Emrys‘ shoulder.

The distance between the two was less than two meters.

In a flash, Vaughn’s five fingers landed precisely on Emrys‘ shoulder, leaving no chance for Emrys to

dodge.

Alternatively, one could say that Emrys had never even considered dodging.

“Shatter!”

With a thunderous roar, Vaughn exerted force on his fingers, ready to crush Emrys‘ shoulder blade.

Considering that Emrys was a temperer grandmaster, and in order to regain the dignity he had just lost,

Vaughn did not hold back at all. He concentrated almost all of his strength into his five fingers.

However, nothing happened.

Emrys remained completely still.

He even had a faint smile on his face.

He completely disregarded Vaughn’s attack.

This so–called Venerable One, despite launching his attack with all his might, seemed to Emrys as

nothing more than a mere tickle.

Vaughn was taken aback for a moment.

When Vaughn’s fingers gripped Emrys‘ shoulder, it felt as though he had seized a rock of unparalleled

hardness. No matter how much force he exerted, he couldn’t crush it.

Vaughn made another attempt.

His internal energy surged through his body.

The radiance on his fingers had completely transformed into five razor–sharp blades, yet there was still

no response from Emrys.

He couldn’t comprehend why a grandmaster of tempering shouldn’t possess such strength.

Horror filled Vaughn’s eyes and his heart sank.
