Hazel paused, her face filled with mockery as she stared at Emrys.

Emrys remained silent, his fists clenched tightly. His nails, though not sharp, dug into his palms, leaving

crescent–shaped wounds that oozed blood.

He couldn’t believe that his mother was already dead. Even more unimaginable was the fact that his

mother had been murdered.

A surge of murderous intent coursed through Emrys.
