Chapter 46 Mikayla wondered why she hadn't noticed Jerome’s annoying habits before.

At that moment, Mikayla’s phone stopped ringing.

Jerthen tightened his hold around her.

“Well, there's no need to answer the call now- As Mikayla was about to take action, the divider was suddenly lowered.

Mike lowered his gaze and said formally, “Mr. Miller, Ms. White has been trying to reach you. She couldn't get through because your phone was off.” Jerslightly raised his brows and reached for Mike's phone.

Mikayla impatiently shoved Jeraway and returned to her seat. As she picked up her phone, she noticed a missed call from Kylie.

It appeared that Kylie had been well aware of Jerome’s whereabouts. She even reached out to Mikayla.

“What's the matter?” Jerasked in a husky voice while he loosened his collar.

“Jerome, what happened to your voice? Have you been drinking?” Kylie asked with concern.

Jerdidn’t answer her question.

“What is it?” “Can you cover? We need to talk in person,” Kylie requested.

“Or | could cto you. It's pretty urgent and hard to explain over the phone.” Jerglanced at Mikayla, who had resumed her distant and aloof demeanor.

“I'll cto you.” Tapping open, she found a group chat she’d previously created with Aubrey and a few other classmates.

Aubrey had sent a picture to the group and tagged Mikayla.

Glancing at the image, Mikayla noticed the photo didn’t feature any people. It only displayed a bowl of mouthwatering noodles and a glass of passion fruit juice on the coffee table.

Unclear if it was done intentionally, the photographer somehow included a blue shirt on the couch.

Mikayla immediately recognized that outfit. It was the shirt that Jerhad worn earlier.

She was familiar with the setting in the photo. It was Kylie’s place.

Soon, an unidentified number called in.

Mikayla answered the call, and Aubrey’s displeased voice sounded.

“Mikayla, what’s going on with you? You've blockedon Instagram and event my number? Is it because Jerblamed you for the incident that happened?” Aubrey asked.

“Didn’t | ask you to tell him that it was my idea? Let's figure something else out if it didn’t work out. Why are you sulking?” Mikayla didn’t bother to respond. She waited for Aubrey to continue.

Just as expected, Aubrey added, “The picture that I've sent just now was from that bitch, Kylie. She posted it on her Instagram a while ago with a cheeky caption. She deleted it after | made a snarky comment.

“I saved the picture. This isn’t about taking care of a drunk friend. They're clearly acting like a couple. This is sick!” When she didn’t receive a response, Aubrey shot back, “What's the matter? Too stunned to say a word? Should we go over there and confront them?” You seem to be more invested than | do.” Mikayla scoffed Tve blocked Kylie long ago.
