Omega’s Possession Chapter 47.
Harlow
Warmth surrounds me, and the smell of safety as I inhale with
each breath I take.
A scent I once before believed I would never find safety from. It was the scent of mates. The beeping noise of something in the di
stance grows louder, along with the feeling of motion. The cuff grows tighter on my arm as it squeezes it, and the surrounding mu
rmuring grows louder.
Groaning, I didn’t want to move. Every part of me feels like dead weight and aches, but in a way that is so painfully delicious bec
ause it meant I was alive. Pain proved my heart was still beating, and
it was in time with Thanes, where I was lying on his chest and turning my face into his neck. I feel the paramedic remove
the blood pressure cuff and open my eyes to Thane’s.
“Hey,” he whispers, brushing his nose across my cheek before kissing it.
“We thought we lost you.”
“Leon?” I ask, suspecting
him. Nothing healed quicker than vampire blood and your mate’s blood. Thane’s not letting out a shaking breath and tugging me
up onto his body.
“Leo?” I whisper. We already lost Talon. I lost the sister I didn’t realize I had. The thought of losing

an enemy turned friend wasn’t needed, too.
“Alive, for now. He isn’t doing too well. But we’ll get him home to Emily to see the rest of his days out.” I nod, tears pricking
my eyes. Would his daughter hate me for risking his life for mine?
“Harlow, I know he saved you, but-”
“No, I am not asking you to mark him, Thane. I don’t expect that of you. Besides, it would be weird when I am the same age as hi
s daughter.” I admit.

Thane purrs in agreement, and I grip his shoulder, dragging myself up higher. “You need to rest. Lay back down.” Thane scolds
me. He is right. Even that slight movement sent my surroundings spinning, but I think that is more to do with the strange senses I
inherited from Thane’s blood more than anything else. Yet, I had something else that was far more important than resting to do.
I bury my face in his neck, my gums tingling as I partially shift. My canines elongate as I press them against his skin. Thane’s bre
athing hitches when he realizes what I am about to do, but it won’t work if
he refuses my bite. His fingers tangle in my hair as he offers me his neck, and I lick the spot before sinking my teeth into him.
Thane clutches me to him, holding me tightly as I feel my teeth pierce through thick tissue and bands of
muscle. His blood fills my mouth, and I swallow it as I choke on
the feeling of the bond. His feelings smashing me harder than ever. Relief, love, home. Everything I, at one stage, thought he wo
uld never feel toward me hits me. To him, I was home. Little did he know, he was also mine. They all are. Have been from the mo
ment I laid eyes on them. I just didn’t know it then or believe it was possible.
Rhen, Raidon, and Leon could all feel I marked Thane, their
relief palpable along with his as I pulled my teeth from his neck, only for his lips to crash down on mine. Softly at first before he d

evoured them hungrily, making me chuckle and blush, knowing there was a paramedic sitting next to us.
“Mine,” I mumble around his mauling lips. “Yours,” he agrees, finally letting me breathe.
I rest my head on his shoulder, missing the rest of our mates. They insisted I go to the hospital, but instead, I made the paramedi
c drop us to the small airport. I just wanted to get home. Besides, there were plenty of medical professionals in Raidon’s
family. However, when the ambulance stopped, and I climbed out with Thane, another stopped beside us.
Rhen climbs out and shakes his head, looking rather
angry. “What is it, Thane?” demands, “He wants to come with us. He is ignoring them,” Rhen says as he helps Leo climb down, s
till having not turned around. The moment he does, I pounce on him. Very unsteadily, it was more of a tackle, as I didn’t expect to

be able to move so quickly. Rhen caught me anyway as my legs locked around his waist. Another car pulls in, and I know it is th
e hire car they must have used because Raidon and Leon climb out of that one.
“Are you Leo? You don’t look too good.” Thane tells him, and I lift my head. Leo was not healing too well now the bonds were seve
soaked bandages.
“I am not dying without seeing my daughter first,” he coughs. Thane grabs him, and Leo growls at him. “Shut up. How are you goi
“Fine, but you are staying with us until then. Your daughter
doesn’t need to look after you. We will help.” Thane tells him.
“No, my daughter isn’t watching me deteriorate. I won’t let that be the last memory she has of me, Thane. I am simply going back
to end me.” Leo tells him. Thane stops walking, and I glance over at Leo just as Raidon steals me from Rhen, who growls at him.
“She doesn’t need to watch me like
that. You know well enough how traumatic it is for a child to watch their parents wither away from a lost mate bond. Don’t subject
daughter to that.” Leo pleads.
“I’ll do it,” Rhen calls out to him, and Thane looks back at him. His eyes flicker black, but I worry about what sort of impact that wo
his nature just to kill, despite him being Alpha. I could feel he didn’t want to kill Leo. He even liked Leo now.
“No, I’ll do it. It’s fine.” Thane answers, and I peek over at Rhen. He seemed relieved, but I had no doubt he would do it to save Th.
